Garanti BBVA Factoring was established on June 4, 1990 with the name of Aktif Finans Faktoring Hizmetleri A.Ş. with the purpose of offering factoring services to industrial and commercial companies. The commercial title was changed to Garanti Faktoring Hizmetleri A.Ş. as per the resolution of the “Ordinary General Assembly for the year 2001” which convened on March 27, 2002; and Garanti BBVA Factoring started to provide service under the roof of “Garanti”. Later, the title was updated as "Garanti Faktoring A.Ş."
The Company's shares were publicly offered on the basis of the authorization received from the Capital Markets Board (CMB) and listed on the İstanbul Stock Exchange (İSE) in the year 1993. Garanti BBVA Factoring, whose shares are traded at the İstanbul Stock Exchange with an actual circulation ratio of 8.38%, runs its domestic factoring and foreign factoring transactions with the synergy of Doğuş Group and BBVA over an extensive network with a method focused on customer needs.
Concentrating on trade financing and receivable-based financing, Garanti BBVA Factoring provides the financing, guarantee and collection products required by both domestic and overseas trade together. Garanti BBVA Factoring provides service to a large customer base including mainly SMEs, companies that are largely known as importers/exporters, and corporations with extensive supplier and dealer networks. While the need for receivable based financing methods increases in addition to the need for standard banking products to finance the rapidly developing exports and imports in Turkey, Garanti BBVA Factoring offers high quality and rapid solutions to its customers with diversified products for both domestic and international transactions.
Garanti BBVA Factoring is also a strong factoring company in overseas factoring transactions thanks to its customer focused service concept, its aim of creating added value for its customers and the sector through its specialized team, its pioneering role in product consultancy and product development, its ability to create tailored corporate solutions with a strong team, its swift operational transactions that make a difference, and its wide correspondent network provided through International Factors Group (IFG) and Factors Chain International (FCI) memberships.
Garanti BBVA Factoring, which raised its prior score of 9.32 in the Corporate Management Principles Compliance Rating made by Kobirate Uluslararası Kredi Derecelendirme ve Kurumsal Yönetim Hizmetleri A.Ş. (“Kobirate” International Credit Rating and Corporate Management Services Company), to 9.39 in later ratings, is included in the İSE Corporate Management Index.
As the result of the branch expansion studies completed in the year 2013, Garanti BBVA Factoring has increased the number of its branches to 21 in 14 different city centers in order to ensure accessibility by customers.
TL and foreign currency long term BBB rating and national long term AAA (tur) rating assigned by Fitch Ratings is an indication of Garanti BBVA Factoring's financial power.
In the annual meeting of Factors Chain International (FCI), the world's biggest factoring chain, held in Singapore, Garanti BBVA Factoring was awarded the title of “The World's Best Export Factoring Company”.
